Fiverr is a fantastic service that connects you with sellers around the world, each offering their talents and services for a reasonable price.
However, as with all marketplaces, some sellers are sub-standard, either in their customer service or their quality of work. If this is the case, you may want to request a refund.
The Resolution Center is where all issues and disputes between buyers and sellers are resolved.
You can access the Resolution Center by clicking on the blue box labelled ‘Visit the Resolution Center’, in the right-hand panel on the order page.
You may also access the Resolution Center, by clicking the three dots at the top right of an order, and then selecting ‘Resolve an Issue’ from the drop-down box.
Cancelling an Order
From there you will need to cancel the order. To do so, select ‘Ask the seller to cancel this order’ within the Resolution Center. However, you will need to provide a good reason for cancelling the order, such reasons can include, but are not limited to:
- The quality of the work was of a much lower standard than advertised in the seller’s portfolio.
- The seller is extremely rude or aggressive.
- The seller is not responding. (Please note: if a seller does not respond within two days to a buyer, then the order can be cancelled without requiring the seller’s confirmation.)
Once you have requested a cancellation, if the seller fails to provide an update within two days, then the order is automatically cancelled.
Receiving a Refund
Following an order cancellation, you will receive a complete refund, including the service free. The refund will be credited to your Fiverr balance. However, if you would prefer for the money to be reimbursed to either PayPal or a credit card, then you can request a refund from Fiverr.
To do so, you will need to ‘Submit a Request’. On the screen, you will be presented with two boxes, in the first (What can we help you with?), select ‘Payment’.
In the second (What kind of payment issue are you experiencing?), select ‘Request a refund for a cancelled order’.
A final box will then appear, with three options:
- I want a refund for a cancelled order.
- The refund I got was incomplete.
- My refund is late.
You will then be able to write a short message regarding the order cancellation, and attach any evidence if required. Finally, select ‘Submit Request’.
However, please be aware if you have accepted an order from a buyer, then you cannot subsequently cancel the order.
Accepting an order is a confirmation that what was produced met the requirements you set forward, either partly or entirely.
The Customer Support team will deal with requests within 24-48 hours, depending upon the volume of requests.
